UP CM Yogi to inaugurate, lay foundation stone of 102 development projects worth Rs 690 cr in Rampur

Lucknow, June 30

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced that 102 development projects worth more than Rs 690 crore would be inaugurated or have their foundation stones laid in the Milak and Bilaspur assembly constituencies of Rampur district today, in what he described as a major push to Rampur's "development journey".

In a post on X, the Chief Minister said, "Today, the development journey of Rampur district will gain new momentum and a new direction. In the Milak and Bilaspur assembly constituencies of Rampur, the inauguration/foundation stone laying of 102 development projects costing more than Rs 690 crore will be carried out."

He added that the projects were aimed at improving the public's daily lives and strengthening the state's development goals.

"It is with full confidence that these development-oriented projects, dedicated to public service, public convenience, and public welfare, will give new momentum to Rampur's development, make public life more convenient, and provide new strength to the resolve of 'Developed Uttar Pradesh'," he said.

Earlier on Monday, CM Yogi Adityanath urged teachers and parents to work together to ensure every child attends school regularly as the state prepares to launch the second phase of its 'Chalo School Campaign' from July 1.

In a post on X, Adityanath said July marks not only the beginning of a new month but also a renewed commitment to fulfil the dreams of millions of children by bringing them to school."My esteemed fellow citizens of the state, July is not merely the beginning of a new month, but also the time for renewing our resolve to bring the dreams of millions of children to school. In Uttar Pradesh, the second phase of the 'Chalo School Campaign' is commencing from July 1," CM wrote.

He called upon teachers to make classrooms more engaging and appealed to parents to assess children beyond academic scores."Dear teachers, ensure that children do not view school merely as part of a daily routine, but show genuine interest in attending. Activities such as sports and games can serve as excellent means to achieve this," CM said.

Finally some development for Rampur! Milak and Bilaspur have been neglected for so long. Let's hope the foundation stones don't remain just stones—execution is key. Also, the Chalo School campaign is a nice parallel focus; education and infra both matter.

Impressive numbers, but I hope the money is spent wisely. 102 projects across two constituencies seems like a lot—will there be enough oversight? The school campaign is a good idea, but kids need to have basic facilities first. Just a thought from an outsider.

Development projects are always welcome, but let's not forget that Rampur has seen its share of controversy. Hope this isn't just pre-election drama. Real change happens when roads, electricity, and water reach every village, not just the main towns. Let's watch and see.

It's encouraging to see state governments prioritizing both infrastructure and education. The 'Chalo School Campaign' is a smart move—getting kids excited about learning through sports and activities is so crucial. Hope other states take note! 👏

Rampur needs real development, not just photo ops. We've seen many such announcements in the past. Let's hope the CM's team actually delivers this time. And yes, education is important—but why only July? Schools need year-round engagement. Beta, padhai likhai bhi zaroori hai.
