'Supergirl' Trailer: Kara Zor-El faces Krem of Yellow Hills, first glimpse of Jason Momoa's Lobo
Washington DC, April 1
All the DC Universe fans are in for a treat as the trailer of 'Supergirl' has finally been unveiled by Warner Bros. and DC, giving a fresh look at the much-anticipated film starring Milly Alcock in the lead role.
The two-minute-fifty-seven-second trailer opens on an emotional note, showing a conversation between Superman, played by David Corenswet, and Supergirl. Superman is seen trying to guide her during a difficult phase, as she struggles to find her place. "Hey, I was just touching base to see when you think you might be coming back," he says, adding, "You know, I'm just worried that you're not going to find your stride here if you keep going off-world all the time, Kara. I'm worried you're not going to find your people."
The story quickly turns intense as Krypto is poisoned by the henchmen of Krem of the Yellow Hills, portrayed by Matthias Schoenaerts. With only three days to save him, the trailer sets the stage for a high-stakes mission for Supergirl.
The trailer also gives a glimpse of Jason Momoa as the antihero Lobo. At the same time, Supergirl is seen guiding a young girl, Ruthye Marye Knoll, played by Eve Ridley, whose father was killed by Krem. She tells her, "Revenge won't take your pain away," even as she prepares to fight the villain.

The film follows the success of Superman, directed by James Gunn, which performed well at the global box office. Supergirl is directed by Craig Gillespie and written by Ana Nogueira. The film also stars David Krumholtz and Emily Beecham in key roles.
Produced by Peter Safran and James Gunn, the film is set to release in theatres and IMAX across North America on June 26.

Jason Momoa as Lobo is pure genius casting! He's going to steal every scene he's in. The DCU is finally getting interesting after the last few films. Hope the story is as good as the trailer.
The message about revenge not taking pain away is powerful. In our culture too, we often say "badla nahi, bhala karo" (don't seek revenge, do good). Interesting to see that theme in a superhero film. Hope it releases in India on the same day!
Looks fun, but I'm a bit worried. The trailer feels a bit crowded—Supergirl, Superman, Krypto, Lobo, a new villain, and a side character. Hope the film doesn't lose focus on Kara's story trying to fit everyone in.
David Corenswet's Superman looks great. The dynamic between him and Supergirl as cousins/mentor is something I'm excited to see. After the success of the Superman film, expectations are high. Fingers crossed!
They poisoned Krypto? That's just mean! 😢 The stakes feel personal now. The visuals look stunning, especially for IMAX. Planning a theatre trip with friends for this one.
