The action-romantic thriller revolved around Guru (Sidharth Malhotra), a reformed gangster whose peaceful life with Aisha (Shraddha Kapoor) is shattered after she becomes the target of a serial killer.

Riteish Deshmukh, who devoted as an antagonist in the movies, had surprised audiences by stepping away from his comic image to portray the ruthless serial killer.

The film's soundtrack also became immensely popular, with songs such as 'Teri Galiyan', 'Galliyan Returns', 'Banjaara', 'Awari' and 'Humdard' continuing to enjoy a loyal fan following.

Talking about Sidharth Malhotra, the actor who made his Bollywood debut with Karan Johar's 'Student of the Year' in 2012, went on to be a part of movies like, 'Hasee Toh Phasee', 'Brothers', 'Kapoor & Sons', 'A Gentleman', 'Shershaah', 'Mission Majnu', 'Yodha' and 'Thank God', among others.

Honestly, this film was a game-changer for Sidharth. He proved he could do both romance and action. Riteish was brilliant as the psycho killer. But I must say, the music was the real hero—'Galliyan' is still on my playlist. Happy 12 years!

I remember watching this in a packed hall in Pune. The twist at the end was so unexpected—didn't see Riteish's character coming at all. But the movie had some plot holes, especially the logic behind the killings. Still, it's a fun watch for a weekend. Sidharth looks great even after all these years!

This movie holds a special place in my heart. I was in college when it released, and we all went crazy over 'Banjaara'. Sidharth's transformation from Guru to a loving guy was so convincing. And Shraddha in those white outfits—just wow. Nostalgia hit hard today! 😍

Yaar, I know people love this film, but I always found it overrated. The story was basically a copy of some Korean movie, na? And the way Riteish's character killed people—too dramatic. But I respect Sidharth for his hard work. He's come a long way from 'Student of the Year'. Congrats on 12 years!

12 years?! Feels like just yesterday I was humming 'Awari' on repeat! 🎶 Sidharth and Shraddha were such a fresh pair back then
