Shreya Kalra on her win: Came to play my game, stayed true to myself

Shreya Kalra, who recently took home the trophy and Rs. 1 crore after winning the reality show "Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa", has spoken about her victory and said that she came to play my game and stayed true to herself.
Shreya shared a string of pictures of herself with the trophy and wrote: "From dreaming about this moment to finally holding the trophy in my hands. But this victory isn't mine alone. It belongs to every person who stood by me, believed in me, prayed for me, and loved me through every high and low, Especially my family."
She added: "This trophy carries every sacrifice, every tear, every fight, every comeback and every moment when I chose to keep going. I came to play my game, I stayed true to myself, and today... I leave as the WINNER. To my family, my supporters and every single person who stood with me, This one is for all of us. Forever grateful. Forever blessed."
It was on August 5, when Shreya lifted the trophy for 'Lock Upp 2'. Television actress Shivangi Joshi emerged as the first runner-up of the reality show, while Yogesh Rawat became the second runner-up.
Ram Kapoor and Shilpa Shinde, two strong contenders of the show, got evicted extremely close to the finish line. Talking about the second edition of Lock Upp, it is hosted by Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh.
The second installment had 14 inmates, 2 jailers, and 1 lock-up for 6 weeks. As per the rules, inmates must complete tasks to earn the in-game currency required for necessities such as food, supplies, and privileges.
Shreya Kalra is from Indore. She first appeared on the popular MTV reality show Roadies in 2020. She was a wildcard contestant on the show and was a part of Nikhil Chinapa's team. Shreya appeared in music video 'Zariya Tu' alongside Paras Kalnawat.

Honestly, I wasn't a big fan initially but she really grew on me. She handled the show with maturity. Great message for young Indians - you can win without being toxic. Kudos to her family for the support system!
Such an emotional journey! From Roadies wildcard to Lock Upp winner - she's come a long way. But isn't it a bit too much praise for a reality show? I mean we're celebrating her like she found a cure for cancer lol. Anyway, happy for her.
Interesting how Indian reality shows are really hitting mainstream culture now. Seems different from what we get on American TV - a bit more family-oriented and a lot less dramatic. Congrats to Shreya, hope she does well with her new platform!
Respect to Shreya for staying classy throughout. But can we talk about how Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh made this show watchable? The whole package was entertaining. Also great that it wasn't all about fights and negativity this season.
