I love how Shakira always brings in global elements – from African children to Latin beats. It makes the World Cup feel truly international. As an Indian, I wish our country was mentioned more in these anthems, but seeing the flags of many nations is still thrilling. Can’t wait for the halftime show with Madonna and BTS too! That’s going to be epic! 🎶

The video is visually stunning, but I have a bit of a concern: why is she standing on top of a globe? It feels like a bit of a colonial or imperialistic symbol, especially with the world cup’s history. I know it’s just a music video, but we Indians are sensitive to such imagery. The song itself is catchy, though. Let’s just enjoy the football! ⚽

As a dancer, I’m just mesmerized by Shakira’s moves! That desert scene with the African kids was so pure and joyful. It reminds me of our own Bollywood dance sequences. The inclusion of legends like Maradona and Beckham is a nice nostalgia trip. I hope the 2026 World Cup brings as much excitement as the 2014 one did. Go India! (Even if we’re not playing 😅)

I get that Shakira is a global icon, but this video feels a bit like a corporate ad for FIFA. All the flashing of stars and flags is fine, but where’s the grassroots football vibe? In India, we’re building our own football culture, and I wish these anthems would highlight that more. Still, the halftime show with Madonna and BTS is going to be insane! 🔥
