Respect his decision, but man, this is a massive loss for Indian cinema. Who will fill this void? Every other song in the last decade felt special because of him. End of an era indeed.

Maybe he's just tired of the Bollywood grind. The pressure to deliver hit after hit must be insane. Wishing him peace and success in whatever he does next. Legend! 🙏

As someone who discovered Indian music through his songs, this is devastating. "Agar Tum Saath Ho" got me through a tough time. Thank you for the music, Arijit.

While I'm sad, I think it's a good time for the industry to discover new raw talent. We've become too dependent on one voice. But what a voice it was! Channa Mereya will forever be iconic.

His song "Ghar Kab Aaoge" from Border 2 just released! It's so emotional. Maybe he wants to focus on composing or live performances? His concerts are magical. The show must go on, but it won't be the same.

The article says he's not taking *new* assignments. So we'll still hear him in upcoming films like 'O Romeo'.
