Heartbreaking to see the posthumous awards. Those families have given everything for our safety. We must never forget their sacrifice. The Kirti Chakra for Lance Naik Meenatchi Sundaram and others is well-deserved, but what price did they pay? 🙏
Good to see Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit getting PVSM. He has been a stalwart in modernising our air force. But I wish these ceremonies got more media attention than political rallies. Our jawans deserve front-page coverage every time.
The list of gallantry awards is impressive but also a stark reminder of how many operations our forces are involved in. 51 awards in one go! Makes you think about the constant threats at our borders and in Kashmir. Salute to their courage. 🫡
While I respect the awards, I feel the process could be more transparent. There are stories of bravery that never get recognised due to bureaucratic delays. Still, today is about celebrating these heroes. Well done to all awardees, especially the special forces personnel like Naib Subedar Doleshwar Subba.
My father served in the Army, and I know how much these medals mean to families. The Vir Chakra to Colonel Koshank Lamba and Group Captain Ranjeet Singh Sidhu is exceptional. But I also feel for those posthumous awards—the Tiwari family must be so proud yet so broken. We owe them everything.
