As someone working in logistics, I've seen the Sagarmala project's impact firsthand. Port infrastructure is improving, but we need faster clearances and better last-mile connectivity from ports to industrial hubs. The potential is indeed immense.

My heartfelt salute to all the seafarers, especially those in difficult regions mentioned. They are the real heroes, away from families for months. Hope the government's commitment to their well-being includes strong mental health support too.

Top 5 global maritime power is an ambitious goal. We have the coastline for it. Focus should be on developing world-class shipbuilding and repair yards. Right now, a lot of that business goes to Singapore or the Middle East.

While the vision is good, execution on the ground needs more speed. Coastal communities often face issues with fishing rights and pollution from ports. Development must be inclusive and sustainable, not just about big numbers.

Interesting read. The historical note about SS Loyalty in 1919 is something new I learned today. It's a proud legacy to build upon. A strong maritime sector is crucial for any major economy's supply chain resilience.
