Pawan Kalyan visits National War Memorial, pays tributes

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan on Monday visited the National War Memorial in Delhi, which symbolises the nation's gratitude for personnel of the armed forces who made the supreme sacrifice in the defence of the country since independence.
At the Amar Stupa, he offered a wreath and paid solemn tribute to the brave soldiers. Remembering their sacrifices, he offered his respects.
According to the Deputy Chief Minister's office, this tribute programme was conducted under the leadership of Colonel R.K. Anand and Captain Rohit Garg.
Pawan Kalyan visited Tyag Chakra, where the names of immortal soldiers are engraved. He paid tribute to the granite tablets inscribed with the names of brave soldiers from the Telugu states.
At the names of Shaurya Chakra recipient Raj Kumar and Havildar Arun Kumar, he placed flowers and offered floral homage. Subsequently, as a memento of the War Memorial visit, he signed in the digital book. He asked the military officers about the specialties of the four commemorative chakras at the War Memorial.
Pawan Kalyan was in the national capital to address the conclave organised by the Jana Sena Party with the title "Sena Prasthanam for national unity".
The participants in the conclave discussed the progress the country is making under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the principles of "Nation First", the reconstruction of Andhra Pradesh during the coalition's two-year governance, the journey of the Jana Sena Party, Gen Z, and related issues.
Jana Sena public representatives from Andhra Pradesh, along with party representatives from southern states like Telangana, Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and other states, shared their views.
In his speech, Pawan Kalyan criticised the Congress government in Telangana for denying him permission to hold a meeting in Hyderabad, calling it an abuse of the Constitution. He said that if Bharat Jodo is to be believed, then politics must be united by one constitutional standard: equal citizenship, equal dignity, and equal respect for every Indian in every corner of the republic. Only then, he added, does Bharat Jodo become more than a slogan and a national commitment.
The Jana Sena leader reiterated that the Telangana struggle had inspired him. Stating that 1,200 people laid down their lives for a separate state, he said he has immense respect for them.
The Deputy Chief Minister remarked that leaders assumed power after having youth sacrifice their lives. He claimed that the Jana Sena was working to achieve the vision for which Telangana state came into existence.
He asked if 12 years were not enough to recognise Telangana martyrs. This was apparently a reference to the Telangana government's recent move to constitute a committee to identify and recognise those who laid down their lives for a separate state of Telangana.
State Minister for Food and Civil Supplies Nadendla Manohar, Ministers for Tourism and Cinematography Kandula Durgesh, Jana Sena Parliament Members Vallabhaneni Balashouri, Tangella Uday Srinivas, Lingamaneni Ramesh, Legislative Council Member Konidala Nagababu, and other leaders attended the conclave.

Finally a leader who remembers our Telugu heroes! So many from our states have sacrificed for the nation. Pawan Kalyan's visit to the Tyag Chakra and paying respects to Raj Kumar and Arun Kumar shows he genuinely cares. And his point about Telangana martyrs is valid - if the state was formed for them, why delay recognition?
Pawan Kalyan is walking the talk on nationalism. Visiting the War Memorial and then discussing "Nation First" at the Sena Prasthanam - this is what leadership looks like. But I wish he would focus more on Andhra's development rather than criticizing other states.
Nice to see celebrities turned politicians respecting our martyrs. Pawan Kalyan signing the digital book and asking about the chakras shows genuine interest. But why does everything have to be a political statement? Just let the tribute be about the soldiers, yaar.
Pawan Kalyan asking about Telangana martyrs' recognition is spot on! 12 years since the state formation and still no proper recognition? That's a shame. But his criticism of Congress for denying permission in Hyderabad seems like a political stunt. Can't mix martyr tribute with party politics.

His "equal citizenship" line in the speech is powerful - we need more leaders talking about dignity for all Indians. Let's hope this is not just political rhetoric.
