Ujjain, July 22

Ahead of the sacred month of Shravan, several prominent personalities from the entertainment industry visited the revered Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain to offer prayers and witness the sacred Bhasma Aarti, one of the temple's most cherished and unique rituals.

Actors Akshara Singh, Nikitin Dheer, Kranti Prakash Jha, and Chandan Roy participated in the early morning Bhasma Aarti and sought the blessings of Mahakal.

The celebrities were seen immersed in devotion as they joined thousands of devotees who gather at the temple ahead of Shravan, a month considered especially auspicious for the worship of Lord Shiva.

Speaking to ANI, the stars expressed their reverence for the spiritual atmosphere of the Mahakaleshwar Temple.

"It has been a great feeling, and it is a little difficult for me to express it in words. All the devotees of Shiva will not be able to express this feeling. I feel very fortunate that I got this opportunity," said Nikitin Dheer.

The actor also spoke about the youth of the country, expressing immense pride.

"Youth is the future of every country. It is a very important aspect of any country. I am very proud, and I have a lot of faith in our youth. I think they are following the right path and will continue to do so," he added.

Dheer's 'Raktanchal' co-star Kranti Prakash Jha was also present at the temple and emphasised that the youth of the country must find a spiritual connection to Mahakal.

"It is the blessing of Mahakal that we have been able to have such a good darshan, and there is nothing left to say after this. Everything belongs to Mahakal, and he resides in all of us. I believe the youth should connect to Mahakal to understand his glory," Jha told ANI.

Actor Chandan Roy, while speaking to ANI, shared, "When you stay up all night and have a darshan in the morning at Brahma Muhurta, watch the Bhasma aarti, the whole body is filled with positive energy. In recent years, people have turned towards spirituality. There is a beautiful message of positivity in society. I would like to say to the youth that when you lose hope, remember Mahadev. He will show you the right path. He is the greatest scriptwriter."

Actress Akshara Singh, who arrived at the revered temple with her mother, expressed delight.

"I came with my mother today, and it is a very different experience whenever I come. I take this energy with much joy and power. I feel very good. I would like to say to the youth that they are all aware and they are leaning towards devotion. I would like them to stay connected to their roots. Because at the end of the day, this is what matters the most," Akshara said.

Located in Madhya Pradesh, the Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga Temple is one of the country's most prominent Shiva shrines and attracts lakhs of devotees every year, including celebrities and public figures.

The Bhasma Aarti (offering with sacred ashes) is considered one of the most significant rituals at the Mahakal temple. It is conducted during the auspicious Brahma Muhurta, between 3:30 am and 5:30 am, when devotees gather in large numbers to witness the divine ceremony.

While it's good that they're promoting spirituality, I wish they would also talk about the challenges youth face—unemployment, education stress, mental health. Connecting to Mahakal is fine, but we need practical solutions too. 🤔

Bhasma Aarti at Mahakaleshwar is truly divine. Having attended it myself, I know how peaceful it feels. Chandan Roy said it best—"He is the greatest scriptwriter." Our youth need this anchor in chaotic times.

Good to see actors using their platform for positive messages. But honestly, Bollywood celebrities visiting temples is nothing new—it's been happening for decades. What matters is whether they truly follow these values or just do it for publicity.

So heartwarming to see Akshara with her mother! 🙏 Staying connected to roots is what our culture teaches us. Mahakal bless everyone. The youth need to know that devotion and ambition can coexist beautifully.

I appreciate the spiritual message but wish they would also address more pressing issues. Our youth need guidance on education, jobs, and mental health—not just "connect to Mahakal." Balance is key. Still, nice to see famous faces at such a sacred place. 🕉️
