MP govt assigns new responsibilities to senior IPS officers

The Madhya Pradesh Home Department on Saturday issued orders transferring and assigning additional charges to four senior Indian Police Service officers.
According to the orders, 1995‑batch IPS officer Chanchal Shekhar has been appointed Director of the Sports and Youth Welfare Department. His services have been placed at the disposal of the department. Shekhar, who was holding the additional charges of Additional Director General of Police (Special Armed Force) and Additional Director General of Police (State Industrial Security Force), has been given the new responsibility until further orders.
1998‑batch IPS officer Anshuman Yadav has been given the additional charges of Additional Director General of Police (Intelligence) and Additional Director General of Police (Cyber). His services have been withdrawn from the Sports and Youth Welfare Department to enable him to take up these new responsibilities.
1993‑batch IPS officer Anil Kumar will continue as Special Director General of Police (Women Safety). In addition to his existing duties, he has been assigned the additional charge of Special Director General of Police (AJAK).
D. Srinivas Verma, 1997‑batch IPS officer, who is currently holding the additional charges of Additional Director General of Police (Narcotics) and Additional Director General of Police (Special Task Force), has been given further additional charges of Additional Director General of Police (Special Armed Force) and Additional Director General of Police (State Industrial Security Force). He will continue with his existing responsibilities alongside the new ones.
Officials indicated that the fresh allocation of responsibilities is expected to streamline coordination between specialised police units and the Sports and Youth Welfare Department. The changes are aimed at strengthening intelligence gathering, cyber security operations and industrial security arrangements across the state.
