MP CM Mohan Yadav to hold mega investment meet in Ahmedabad on Aug 12
Bhopal, August 10
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will hold a mega investment meet in Gujarat's Ahmedabad on August 12 to showcase investment opportunities in the state and invite leading Gujarat-based industrial groups to invest in Madhya Pradesh, according to an official release.
During the visit, CM Yadav will hold one-to-one meetings with senior representatives of leading industrial groups and discussions will focus on investment opportunities in sectors such as textiles, energy, infrastructure, manufacturing and industrial expansion.
The Chief Minister will also invite Gujarat's industrial leaders to participate in the upcoming Global Investors Summit-2027 and highlight the state's investor-friendly industrial policies, modern infrastructure and sector-specific opportunities.
Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion (DIPIP), Neeraj Mandloi, will make a detailed presentation on Madhya Pradesh's industrial landscape, robust infrastructure, investor-friendly policies and investment opportunities across various sectors.
Principal Secretary of Science and Technology Department, M. Selvendran, will highlight the state's technology ecosystem, innovation, research and development, startups and opportunities for high-technology investments on the occasion.
It is expected that the Ahmedabad investment dialogue would strengthen investment cooperation between Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. Gujarat is one of India's leading industrial states, with its industrial groups having a strong presence in manufacturing, energy, textiles, exports, infrastructure and technology. The availability of industrial land, improved connectivity, adequate power, skilled human resources and investor-friendly policies in Madhya Pradesh offer new expansion opportunities for investors from Gujarat.
The investment meet in Ahmedabad is part of its continued efforts to engage with leading investors from India and abroad and is expected to facilitate new investment proposals, industrial expansion and employment generation.
The initiative is also aimed to accelerate new investment proposals, industrial expansion and employment generation, while also creating a strong investment base for the upcoming Global Investors Summit-2027.

This is exactly what we need - proactive governance. Instead of waiting for investors to come to us, the CM is going out and pitching for investments. This energy will definitely pay off for education and employment opportunities for our youth.
Good intentions but let's not forget that attracting investment is one thing, ensuring proper policies and land allocation is another. We should also focus on promoting local MSMEs, not just big industrial groups. Still, a step in the right direction.
Finally, someone realising that internal competition is healthy! Gujarat and MP can collaborate instead of just competing. With good connectivity and power supply, MP has huge potential. 👏
Very encouraging to see the focus on technology, startups and high-tech investments. The inclusion of Science & Technology Secretary in the delegation shows that the state is serious about future-facing sectors, not just traditional manufacturing. This will attract younger investors too.
All these promises sound good in theory, but ground reality is often different. We need clear timelines, transparent processes, and accountability. Otherwise, these meetings become just photo ops and nothing materialises for the common worker. Hope this one is different!
As someone who's seen industrial development in both states, I believe this
