While I appreciate the security forces' role, we must also question why Manipur has been in such a volatile state for years. The root causes - ethnic tensions, lack of development, political neglect - need serious attention. Security alone won't bring lasting peace.

Big respect to the 19 Garhwal Rifles and all units receiving the Governor's Citation! These soldiers work in extremely tough terrain and conditions. The 'judicious use of force' principle mentioned by the Governor is crucial - our forces must maintain professionalism while dealing with sensitive situations.

Good to see politicians across party lines coming together for this. But words need to translate into action - better infrastructure, more job opportunities for local youth, and real dialogue between communities. Security forces can only do so much without addressing the underlying issues.

As a former Home Secretary, Governor Bhalla knows the ground reality well. His emphasis on coordination between security forces and civil administration is spot on. The AFSPA debate will continue, but right now Manipur needs stability first. Let's support our jawans who are doing their duty.

The Governor's Unit Citation is a wonderful initiative to boost morale. Our security forces work silently, often away from their families for months. I hope this recognition sends a message that their sacrifices are valued by the nation. 🇮🇳
