Bhartiya Janata Party president Nitin Nabin has expressed confidence of the party's strong performance in the Kerala assembly polls, saying the Lotus will blossom in the poll-bound state.

"Lotus will blossom in Keralam this time. The way we are getting the people's support here... The people of Keralam will end the game fixing politics of LDF-UDF, which has been going on for 70 years... The public has understood the game of allegations between the LDF and the UDF", he said.

I appreciate the confidence, but BJP needs to present a concrete vision for Kerala beyond criticizing the existing fronts. What are their specific plans for tourism revival or job creation for our youth? Just saying "Developed Kerala" isn't enough.

He's right about one thing - the constant blame game between LDF and UDF is exhausting. Every election is about what the other did wrong, not what they will do right. The public is fed up. Let's see if BJP can break this cycle.

As a Keralite, I'm skeptical. BJP's national policies don't always align with Kerala's unique social fabric. Strong words before elections are common, but ground reality is different. The lotus has a very tough soil to blossom in here.

Interesting to watch from outside. Kerala has high literacy and social indicators, but the fiscal health ranking is concerning. A strong opposition is healthy for any democracy. Maybe some competition will force all parties to perform better.

The tourism sector comment hits home. We have such beautiful places - Munnar, Alleppey, Wayanad - but infrastructure and promotion are lacking compared to other states. If any party can genuinely fix that, they'll get my vote. 🏞️
