As someone who follows Indian elections closely from abroad, this is actually impressive. 24x7 helpline with multiple numbers and email - that's serious effort. Hope other states take note. Free and fair elections are the backbone of democracy. 🇮🇳

Finally some concrete action! Living in a rural area near Bengal border, we often face intimidation during elections. Just hope the helpline operators are trained to handle calls in Bengali too - language barrier can be a real issue for many elderly voters.

Looks good on paper but I'm skeptical. Have seen how political pressure works in Bengal. The helpline might be useful for trivial issues but for serious cases like booth capturing or threats, will authorities actually act? Need to see real enforcement, not just numbers.

Appreciate the transparency - publishing all those numbers and email. But why till May 10 only? Should be permanent or at least till all results are declared. Elections don't end on voting day, there's counting and aftermath too. Still, better than nothing.

As a first-time voter in Bengal, this is reassuring. The phrase "fear-free environment" really speaks to the reality here. Let's hope this helpline gives people courage to come out and vote without pressure. Democracy should be about choice, not fear. 🙏
