Robert Pattinson Recalls His "Vicious" Childhood Scent, Says He Smelled Like Crayons

Robert Pattinson has revealed in a new interview that he had a strange and changing body odor while growing up. He described it as once being a "vicious scent" before it transitioned to smelling exactly like crayons. The actor humorously linked the change to a metaphorical seven-year cycle of personal transformation. On the professional front, he is set to reprise his role in the sequel 'The Batman Part II', scheduled to begin filming in 2026.

"It's very strange": Robert Pattinson recalls having a peculiar body odor growing up

Washington DC, January 24

Actor Robert Pattinson recently revealed that he used to have a very peculiar body odor while growing up, something he now finds strange to think about.

According to PEOPLE, the 39-year-old actor, in an interview with a popular international men's magazine, opened up about his natural scent over the years.

Talking about an old interview from 2020 in which he was called "crayon," Pattinson shared that his body has changed since then. He explained that his "body chemistry" is different now.

"My body chemistry has changed. It's very strange. But I 100% used to smell exactly like a crayon," Pattinson told GQ, according to PEOPLE.

"Before that, it was quite a kind of vicious, vicious scent. And then something, I think, when it became crayon-y, it was like something died. I guess the seven-year cycle... Maybe I was smelling like crayons when one self died, and when a new self was born, it was less scented," the Twilight star added.

On the work front, the actor will be seen in the much-awaited film 'The Batman Part II.' Filming for the movie is said to begin in the spring of 2026. The film is set to release in theatres on October 1, 2027, reported Variety.

The upcoming film will bring Robert Pattinson back in the lead role, and it will once again be directed by Matt Reeves. The first Batman movie, released in March 2022, was a big hit, earning $772 million worldwide. Since then, fans have been eagerly awaiting news about the next chapter.

The things actors talk about for publicity... 🤦‍♂️ We have real issues here. Still, I guess it's a slow news day. More interested in 'The Batman Part II' news at the end! 2027 is so far away though.

The "seven-year cycle" comment is actually interesting from an Ayurvedic perspective! The body does renew itself. Maybe his diet or lifestyle changed. Western celebs discovering what we've known for ages? 😉

Crayon smell is better than some alternatives, I suppose! 🖍️ At least it's a childhood smell. My cousin used to say I smelled like turmeric and coconut oil growing up. Desi problems!

Respectfully, this feels like a non-story being pushed as news. The media should focus on his work as Batman, which millions are waiting for, not his childhood body odor. The article buried the lede with the film update.

Haha, my daughter is a huge fan and will find this hilarious. She says Edward Cullen smelled like flowers, not crayons! On a serious note, body chemistry does change with age and stress. Wonder if the Batman suit will have a new scent too?
