Gujarat: BJP Youth Wing resolves to secure 'grand victory' in local polls
Gandhinagar, April 9
The Bharatiya Janata Party Yuva Morcha's Gujarat unit on Thursday resolved to work towards a "grand victory" in the upcoming local self-government elections, as its newly constituted state unit held its first meeting at the party's state headquarters in Gandhinagar.
The meeting was chaired by the state Yuva Morcha president, Vadodara MP Hemang Joshi, in the presence of state in-charge Kirit Patel, according to party leaders.
Addressing party workers, Joshi emphasised organisational strength, discipline, and teamwork as central to expanding the party's reach.
He said that a strong and coordinated structure was essential to carry the party's ideology to the "last person in society".
He called on Yuva Morcha members to remain active in their respective areas and maintain continuous contact with people.
"Through sustained communication and outreach, workers must take the public welfare initiatives of the BJP's central government under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, as well as those of the state government led by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, to every citizen," he said.
Joshi also outlined plans for upcoming programmes, campaigns, and social initiatives, and urged workers to adopt digital platforms to strengthen engagement with young people.
He said efforts should focus on making the organisation more dynamic while contributing to positive social change.
Kirit Patel, addressing the gathering, described the Yuva Morcha as the "centre of strength" of the party.
He urged office-bearers to carry out their responsibilities with commitment and work towards achieving organisational goals.
Referring to the forthcoming local elections, he said the role of the Yuva Morcha would be significant in mobilising support.
Party workers present at the meeting expressed a collective commitment to securing a decisive victory for the BJP in the elections.
Discussions during the meeting covered organisational matters, membership drives, training programmes and social service activities.
Leaders also advised workers to strengthen grassroots engagement, maintain dialogue with local communities, and better understand public concerns.
Among those present were state general secretaries Naresh Desai, Devangi Maiyad, and Bhavin Shiroya, along with office-bearers, cell conveners, executive members, and district and city unit representatives of the Yuva Morcha.

All this talk of "grand victory" and "organisational strength" is fine, but what about concrete policies for youth employment and local civic issues? Hope the social initiatives they mention go beyond just election rhetoric. The proof will be in their work on the ground.
As a young voter from Ahmedabad, I appreciate the emphasis on discipline and teamwork. The BJP's youth wing has always been energetic. If they focus on carrying welfare schemes to the last person, as Joshi ji said, it will benefit everyone. Best of luck for the polls!
Interesting to read about the political machinery at work. The coordination between central and state government messaging seems very strategic. The real test is whether this "continuous contact" translates into solving problems for ordinary people in municipalities and panchayats.
The Yuva Morcha is the backbone. Their grassroots work is visible during every election. With Modiji's leadership and the work of CM Bhupendra Patel, Gujarat's development model speaks for itself. The resolution for a grand victory seems like a natural outcome. Jai Hind!
Hope the "social service activities" they discussed include tangible work for education and women's safety at the local level. It's easy to make resolutions in meetings. The work done in the next few months will show their true commitment. All the best to them.
