USA making their debut is huge for hockey growth. I remember when the women's team broke through, now the men are following. Malaysia vs Scotland should be a cracker of an opener - both have great pace on the counter.

Why no India or Pakistan in this? 🤔 We've dominated Asian hockey for decades and now we're not even part of this promotion pathway. The Pro League needs more Asian teams, not just the same European and Oceanian faces. Happy for Korea though - they've been improving steadily.

Cape Town in June - perfect winter hockey weather! 🥶 The Hartleyvale Stadium is a fantastic venue with passionate fans. This is exactly what hockey needs - more tournaments outside Europe. The Malaysia-New Zealand rivalry should be electric, and I'm rooting for Japan to cause some upsets.

Finally some good news for hockey fans! The Nations Cup format is brilliant - gives smaller nations a real shot at the big stage. Ireland vs USA should be fascinating - both teams with growing programs. Would love to see Scotland make a deep run, they've been building nicely.
