Hollywood actress Emilia Clarke, who is known for her work in 'Game of Thrones', has shared that she froze her eggs at the age of 35.

The Game of Thrones star, 39, has revealed she's taken preparations to make sure she can eventually fulfil her dream of becoming a mother one day after enduring a stressful few years of health problems including two terrifying brain haemorrhages, reports 'Female First UK'.

Emilia, who stars in new TV show Ponies, told The Times newspaper, "You go through certain universal moments, like I was 35 when I froze my eggs. A lot of other women around that age are freezing their eggs".

The actress shared that she went through hell after suffering health problems and then dealing with the death of her beloved father.

She said, "I did go through a number of years where I wanted to shut my front door and sit in my nest. I can't begin to describe how young I was, how naive I was when I started. I had no understanding of the industry. And then I had this life-threatening brain injury and I was so unwell and I kept thinking I was going to die. And then my dad died and that was bigger than the brain haemorrhages".

When asked if she's happy now, she replied, "I'm just going to be wildly honest, it's been years of me sitting with a lot of pain. Then I woke up one morning and realised I've got through the worst of it".

As per 'Female First UK', Emilia previously admitted she would love to have children one day, even suggesting that she is more keen to have children than to get married.

In 2017, she told ELLE magazine, "Yes, I want babies. I don't know about marriage. That's probably quite a painfully millennial thing to say. But I do want to find a human that you'd want to create a family with".

Emilia added that she'd like her kids to experience a childhood similar to her own growing up in the Oxfordshire countryside in England.

"I grew up with ducks in the garden and a stream. We used to go mushroom picking in the fields. My first plays were done inside of trees. And if I manage to push out a few sproglets, I'd like them to have that experience as well", she added.

Honestly, it's brave of her to share this. After all the health scares she had, it makes total sense. In our society, women are often judged for not having kids by 30, but this shows that everyone's journey is different. Her dad's loss sounds really tough. Strong lady!

I admire her honesty. So many celebrities hide these struggles, but Emilia has always been real about her health battles. The bit about wanting kids before marriage is refreshing - not everyone needs to follow the traditional path. Hope she finds the right partner soon!

I appreciate her openness about the emotional toll. The way she describes shutting her door and "sitting with pain" - that's so relatable. In our culture, we often bottle up feelings, but she's showing it's okay to struggle and then slowly heal. Very humanizing interview.

While I respect her choice, I wonder about the cost of egg freezing and if it's just another way the entertainment industry pressures women. Not everyone has that option. But for her personally, I'm glad she's taking control of her fertility after such traumatic health issues. Fair play to her.

The childhood she describes sounds so idyllic - mushroom picking and playing inside trees! It's sweet she wants the same for her future kids. In India, we still have joint families and village life for many, but urban kids miss that connection to nature. Hope she becomes a mom when she's ready. ❤️
