Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta inaugurated a new Electric Receiving Sub Station of the Delhi Metro near the Central Vista Project Area, at Park Street on Friday.

Speaking to reporters, the Delhi CM stated that the newly commissioned sub-station was built using the latest technology and will supply power to various stations across the Delhi Metro network.

"I congratulate the Delhi Metro for the Electric Receiving Sub Station established here. It is built using the latest technology and techniques. It was completed within 18 months. Our metro is moving towards no electricity failures," said CM Gupta.

Delhi Chief Minister chaired a high-level review meeting on the MCD at the Delhi Secretariat.

During the session, she reviewed solid waste management and the implementation of 100% waste segregation, including Waste-to-Energy (WTE) plants and construction and demolition (C&D) waste.

Good to see infrastructure development. However, I hope the focus on the Central Vista area doesn't mean other parts of Delhi are neglected. East Delhi needs better Metro connectivity and waste management just as urgently.

The collateral-free loan scheme for startups is fantastic! ₹10 lakh can be a game-changer for young entrepreneurs. This, combined with better infrastructure, is how we build a modern Delhi. More power to such initiatives! 💪

Completing such a critical project in 18 months is commendable. But the real test is maintenance. We have seen many projects fail after a few years. Hope the "latest technology" includes a solid plan for long-term upkeep.

Waste-to-energy plants and 100% segregation sound great on paper. But will it be implemented properly at the colony level? My apartment's waste still gets mixed. The government needs strong awareness campaigns for citizens.

As someone who uses the Metro daily, reliability is key. This substation near Central Vista should help. The review on parking and old markets is also important. Delhi's charm is in its markets, they need proper support.
