Ben Stiller Reveals Dream Knicks Documentary Project

Ben Stiller has confirmed he is producing a sports documentary about the New York Knicks for HBO. The film, made in partnership with A24, Madison Square Garden, and the NBA, will cover all eras of the team. Stiller announced the project on the Roommates Show, expressing his excitement. He described the documentary as a "dream project" and plans to continue filming next season.

Hollywood actor Ben Stiller has confirmed that he is making a sports documentary about the New York Knicks.

The actor has shared that he had been seen on his phone so much while sitting courtside during the NBA Finals because is working on a film about his beloved team, reports 'Female First UK'.

He is making the film in partnership with A24 for HBO, with the help of Madison Square Garden and the NBA.

He said on players Jalen Burnson and Josh Hart's the Roommates Show, "I'm really excited to announce that we are officially making a documentary about the New York Knicks for HBO. And doing it with A24 and official cooperation of MSG. And NBA".

But the focus of the documentary isn't just on the basketball side's recent success, which culminated in their first NBA championship in 53 years.

He shared, "Obviously I've been shooting some stuff on my phone, but it's kind of gonna be about all eras of the Knicks, and this team obviously, there's a culmination here, of something that's been going on for a long time. It's super exciting. It's great to have had all this access to your team".

"We're going to probably be shooting a little bit more during next season, and I'm going to hit you guys up for some interviews. It's going to be over the next year that we'll be working on it. A lot of people have wanted to make it happen for a long time", he added.

As per 'Female First UK', the 60-year-old sports fan admitted making the documentary is a dream come true.

He said, "I could not be more excited. This is a dream project, so I cannot wait. We just started a little bit before the playoff run".

Honestly, why does a Hollywood actor need to make this? NBA already has tons of content. Feels like just another vanity project for Stiller. Hope it's not just about his personal fandom. ‍♂️
