I appreciate the gesture, but I hope these appointments are more than just symbolic. We need real policy changes for the Northeast, especially in education and infrastructure. An academician from there is a good start, but let's see some tangible outcomes.

Interesting appointments. It's good to see diverse regional representation at NITI Aayog—hopefully this leads to more inclusive policy-making for states that are often overlooked.

Joram Aniya is the first woman from her community with a PhD? That's incredible! Her expertise in indigenous languages and culture could be a game-changer for how we preserve tribal knowledge in policy. This is a proud moment for Arunachal Pradesh. 👏

NITI Aayog is a vital think tank, but we need to ensure these appointments aren't just political rewards. Both Dr. Balasubramaniam and Dr. Aniya have solid academic credentials. I hope they focus on grassroots issues like rural employment and farmer incomes, not just glossy reports.

Great to see a woman from the Nyishi community at this level. Hope she inspires more girls from tribal areas to pursue higher education and policy roles. But the real test will be whether NITI Aayog actually decentralizes power to states or remains a top-down body.
