Andhra ahead of other states in green energy production: CM Naidu

Tirupati, July 1

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday said that Andhra Pradesh is a step ahead of other states in green energy production.

He said the state government formulated plans to generate 160 gigawatts of power in the green energy sector and has already signed agreements for 100 gigawatts.

He was speaking after laying the foundation stone for Hero MotoCorp's "Global Parts Centre 2.0" at Madannapalem in Satyavedu, Tirupati district.

He claimed that the government is taking revolutionary decisions to foster industrial growth in the state and is currently implementing 'Speed of Doing Business' protocols.

"To cater to industrial needs, we have road infrastructure, rail, port, and air connectivity. We have initiated measures to supply water for industries alongside agriculture. We are making farmers partners in the state's ongoing development," he said.

Naidu said that going beyond just signing agreements, the government is taking all necessary steps to enable industries to commence production.

"We will provide all the infrastructure required by industries. Companies like Google and others are setting up data centres in Visakhapatnam but are proceeding cautiously regarding data centres, keeping resource availability in mind," the Chief Minister said.

The Chief Minister urged the company to initiate the plant expansion, involving an investment of Rs 3,200 crore as previously announced.

Stating that women constitute 40 per cent of Hero's workforce, Chandrababu Naidu noted that women from Andhra Pradesh are hardworking and possess a quick learning aptitude.

Ambitious claims indeed. But let's see actual implementation on ground. Many states make announcements but lack execution. Hope Andhra's 'Speed of Doing Business' really translates to faster clearances and jobs.

Interesting to see how Indian states compete in green energy. 100 GW agreements already signed? That's massive for a single state. Kudos to Naidu for pushing sustainable infrastructure.

Finally, some progressive steps! Women making 40% of Hero's workforce is truly inspiring. Hope more companies follow this model in India. Green energy + women empowerment = real development. 😊

Google setting up data centres in Visakhapatnam? That's a huge vote of confidence! Andhra clearly has the infrastructure and talent pool to attract global tech giants. Smart move focusing on green power for data centres.

Good to see focus on green energy, but what about existing power issues in villages? Many areas still face load shedding. Hope the state balances industrial needs with basic rural electrification first. Development should be inclusive.

Impressive vision! 160 GW green energy target is world-class ambition. Hero MotoCorp's Rs 3,200 crore investment shows industry confidence. Would love to see how this compares to other leading Indian states like Gujarat
