Safety first, absolutely. But the communication from the airline could be better. My parents are stranded in Muscat and getting clear information has been like pulling teeth. The website is crashing due to traffic. They need a better system for crises like this.
The economic impact is going to be massive. Gulf routes are lifelines for Indian workers and businesses. Every day of suspension means lost wages and contracts. The government should actively work on diplomatic channels to ensure this doesn't become a prolonged crisis.
It's a scary development. The article mentions the death of Iran's Supreme Leader... that's a monumental event. This isn't just about flights anymore. Hoping for peace and stability in the region. Our thoughts are with all affected, especially the Indian diaspora there. 🙏
The numbers from Mumbai and Delhi airports are staggering! Over 200 flights cancelled combined. The authorities seem to be managing, but I feel for the airport staff dealing with thousands of stressed passengers. They deserve our patience and kindness right now.
Watching from London. This shows how interconnected global aviation is. A conflict in one region grounds planes worldwide. Air India Express is following the lead of international carriers like Emirates. The right call, but a logistical nightmare.
