Thiruvananthapuram, April 1
Kerala Food and Civil Supplies Minister P. Thilothaman on Wednesday after going around various ration shops to see the distribution of rice, wheat, sugar and kerosene, said on the first day 1.3 million people collected their quota.
"After the 20th of this month, we will provide another five kg of rice which we will get from the Centre. We wish to tell the people there is no need to hurry to collect their ration, as we have more than adequate supply of stocks. We have already stored two months quota which would soon arrive at the ration shops. Everyone will be given their share. We are also trying to provide home delivery facility," said the minister.
