Onion Pickle Recipe
Ingredients:
• 1 Kg Small Onions
• 1½ Cup Oil
• 8 Tsp Coarse Mustard Powder
• 8 Tsp Aniseed Powder
• 4 Tsp White Cumin Powder
• 2 Tsp Ground Spices
• 3 Tsp Red Chili Pepper
• 12 Tsp Salt
• 2 Tsp Turmeric
• 1 Tsp Onions Seeds
• Juice of 2 Lemons
Method:
• Peel the outer skin of the onions.
• Cut each onion into four, keeping intact at the base.
• Rub 7 tsps of salt on the onions and keep it for 4 hours.
• If it leaves water, drain the water.
• Take little oil, fry the spices and grind them well.
• Mix the Ingredients: with lemon juice.
• Fill this mixture in the onions and place it in an airtight jar.
• Heat the rest of the oil till smoky and cool.
• Pour the oil over the pickle in the jar.
• Add 1 tsp of salt on the top and use it after 12 days.
