Tamarind Chutney Recipe


• 250 Gms Tamarind

• 350 Gms Grated Jaggery

• 1½ Tsp Black Salt

• 1½ Tsp Garam Masala

• 3 Tsp Cumin Powder

• 3 Tsp Red Chili Powder

• Salt to Taste


• Wash the tamarind and add 6 cups of water.

• Cook for 10 minutes.

• Drain the water, add jaggery, chilli powder, cumin powder, salt, and garam masala and mix well.

• Cook again on medium flame till jaggery dissolves completely and the chutney becomes semi thick.

• Take out the pulp from the tamarind mixture.
