New Downtown Manhattan Tower Greenwich West Launches Sales

Nov 08, 2018 (6 months ago) |
NEW YORK: Strategic Capital, Cape Advisors, and Forum Absolute Capital Partners announce the launch of sales at Downtown residential tower, Greenwich West.
Created by a team of top French designers and actively under construction in West Soho, Greenwich West brings an elegant sensibility to the nexus of Manhattan's most desirable neighborhoods. One of the tallest buildings in the area, the condominium serves as an urban lookout, providing unprecedented panoramas of the Hudson River, New York Harbor, and Statue of Liberty. Pricing for the building's 170 loft-style residences starts at $965,000, making Greenwich West a rare combination of high design and value.

Greenwich West is a rarity Downtown in that it is a true full-service building that also offers a unique Downtown design sensibility. We have worked hard to deliver all of that at an affordable price point, which is why we've experienced such a flurry of interest, said Phillip Gesue, Chief Officer of Development at Strategic Capital.

Greenwich West sets a new standard for luxury development in West Soho, and has the benefit of being immersed in the culture, creativity and energy of its surroundings, said Craig Wood, CEO of Cape Advisors. It's a true collaboration between many talented teams and individuals, and with the building now rising we've already seen that it's making an impact.

Designed by acclaimed Paris-based architecture firm Loci Anima, Greenwich West features a handmade brick facade with custom glazed brick accents by venerable Belgium brickworks Wienerberger. The building's Art Deco-inspired curved corners lend a softness to the tower, while industrial-style casement windows - framed by elegant hand-laid brick patterns and custom pewter-glazed brick borders - salute the neighborhood's heritage. Receding gracefully, Greenwich West's intricate setbacks and 290-foot height allow for sprawling terraces in many homes and hallmark river views.

Greenwich West is a rare Downtown building that includes a full array of amenities and services including a 24-hour attended lobby, onsite resident manager, porter and handyman staff. At the building's crown is an amenity rooftop terrace featuring multiple lounge and seating areas and breathtaking city and water views.

Additional amenities include a lounge and entertainment suite; fitness center by The Wright Fit with yoga studio and spa; and children's playroom. An automated parking garage with direct secured access to residential elevators; supplemental laundry facility; bicycle storage; and additional private storage for purchase are also available.

Interiors have been carefully conceived by Parisian designer Sebastien Segers, known for his private homes, spas, and boutiques for clients such as Giorgio Armani and Christian Dior. Residents will make a dramatic entrance up grand marble stairs to a double-height lobby detailed in travertine with leather paneled walls. A captivating wall of windows frames views of the courtyard Viewing Garden, created by legendary French botanist Patrick Blanc. A symbol of health and well-being, the Viewing Garden will be home to multiple plant species artfully planted on walls reaching up to 18 feet in height. The light-filled homes, ranging from studios to three-bedroom residences including penthouses, impart a bespoke quality and feature gently-curved, hand-plastered interior wall corners to echo the building's exterior architecture.

Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group is the exclusive sales and marketing firm for Greenwich West. A sales gallery located at 435 Hudson Street is now open by appointment. The development, which broke ground in July, is being built by Plaza Construction, an affiliate of Strategic Capital. First closings are expected to commence in early 2020.
