Eves set to script history, feels coach Maymol
Yangon [Myanmar], Nov 7 : Maymol Rocky, the coach of Indian women's senior national team said that she is confident of a win ahead of the opening match of 2020 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Women's Olympic Qualifying Tournament on Thursday against Nepal.
The team went through a training session at the Thuwunna Stadium, here, on Wednesday. "We have come prepared for the tournament. We know that it's a qualifying round for the next Olympic Games and from our side, we are ready and here to qualify for the next stage," she declared.
Coming afresh after a rigorous three-week preparatory camp in Mumbai, Maymol also feels that the team has got favourable set of matches as the game is against a familiar opponent.
"It will be extremely crucial for us to gather the much-required momentum," she added.
Giving details of the shortlisted 20-member squad from the camp held at Mumbai last week, she said, "The team has a great mix of youth and experience, which is extremely important for any team. I tried to include as many youngsters as possible, including a member of the U-19 national team.
