IndiGo leaves CAT chairman stranded at Hyderabad airport
Hyderabad (Telangana) , Nov 6 : Former Chief Justice of Patna High Court and Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) chairman, Justice L Narsimha Reddy on Tuesday alleged that he was left stranded at the Hyderabad airport by IngiGo airlines despite having a boarding pass.
According to Justice Reddy, he had finished the security process and was at a VIP lounge when boarding gates opened. He then went to buy a water bottle and by the time he returned, the boarding gates were closed.
Talking to ANI over the phone, Justice Reddy said that he will file a case against IndiGo airlines to Civil Aviation Minister and DGCA tomorrow.
Meanwhile, IndiGo airlines have issued a statement and apologised to Justice Reddy.
"We have contacted Judge Reddy to express our apologies. IndiGo is committed to courteous and hassle-free service for all of our customers and we sincerely regret that we failed to meet our service standards in this situation. We are reviewing our processes to prevent a similar occurrence in the future," the statement read.
