New Delhi, Nov 24 : It's easier to compliment someone online than in real life, is the thought that is driving a new brand campaign, which wants to bring genuine compliments back and strengthen human connections.
The 'CompliMENTOS' campaign by Perfetti Van Melle features quirky and fun compliments, like 'You are super cool' and 'Your smile is refreshing', printed on the packs of Mentos. But, what led to this campaign?
"These are times when people live their best lives on their social media handle rather than on an everyday human-to-human interaction basis. Compliments are offered galore on photographs shared on Instagram and Facebook but the art of a good old fashioned conversation where ideas are shared or compliments exchanged in person are on the decline.
"On an everyday level, more and more young people feel disconnected with the world around them," Rohit Kapoor, Head - Marketing at Perfetti Van Melle India told IANSlife.
As per him, the campaign squarely fits itself into the void of real everyday feel-good conversations that expand our circles.
In a society where we are constantly on-the-go, it's easy to forget the power of a compliment in changing someone's day or making someone smile -- and the initiative plans to change that.
The campaign will be active in India during the months of November and December this year.
