Unisys Selected to Participate in USD 70 Million Contract to Provide IT Services to the U.S. Mint


RESTON, Va: Unisys Corporation (NYSE: UIS) today announced it was selected by the U.S. Mint, a bureau of the U.S. Department of the Treasury, as one of five companies to compete for task orders under a contract to provide a range of IT services in support of the agency's mission.

Under the Digital Enterprise Services contract, Unisys will compete for task orders for services including cybersecurity, cloud migration, infrastructure operations and service desk. Awarded in the fourth quarter of 2018, the indefinite-delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) agreement is valued at up to $70 million over five years. Unisys supports other Treasury bureaus such as the Internal Revenue Service and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency on cloud-related projects and comprehensive IT services contracts.

The U.S. Mint is responsible for producing legal tender coinage for the nation to conduct its trade and commerce. The U.S. Mint also produces coin-related products such as commemorative coins, Congressional Gold Medals and silver and gold bullion coins.
