Woody Allen teaming up with Spain's Mediapro for next film
Washington D.C, Feb 22 : Woody Allen is re-teaming with Spain's Mediapro, to develop his next film.
A spokesperson for Mediapro confirmed the news to Variety, adding, The project is still at an initial step and it is too early to talk about locations or other details.
Furthermore, according to Spanish newspaper El Pais, Allen's team has been scouting locations in the Basque Country. No details of the film projects's title, cast or indeed subject have emerged.
Reports say that Mediapro executives will meet with the San Sebastian-Gipuzkoa Film Commission to discuss the possibility of shooting in San Sebastian and Gipuzkoa, the surrounding Basque province, San Sebastian deputy mayor Ernesto Gasco told Spanish news agency Efe.
The news of Allen's new project comes just weeks after Allen filed a USD 68 million suit against Amazon for cancelling a four-film production-distribution deal.
Amazon has no plans to release Allen's latest film, 'A Rainy Day in New York.'
