- Annadata sukhibhava
The state cabinet has primarily decided to give Rs 10,000 for every farmer family (including central govt component) under Annadata Sukhibhava scheme. The amount will be given in two equal installments of Rs 5000 each, one in Kharif season and another in Rabi season.
Tenet farmers will also be considered for this scheme. There are 76.21 lakh farms in the state. 60 lakh farmers have farms upto 5 acres. For all of them, the annadata sukhibhava cheques will be distributed by the end of this month. With this, the farmers will be paid Rs 7621 crore. Unlike the central Government scheme, which will be available to farmers with less than 5 acres only, the state government will pay for all farmers. - Land pattas for poor
The state government has given 3,92,745 land pattas from June 2014 to 07.02.2019. Land pattas for 71,221 dwelling units are given under regularisation. 92,960 pattas in govt lands are ready for distribution. Pattas for another 5,074 dwelling units under regularization are also ready.
- Smart phones
The cabinet approved the decision to give smart phones along with sim cards with three year connectivity will be given to poor women.
- AP agriculture council
The cabinet has also approved the setting up of state agriculture council for regularising the education of agriculture and horticulture, akin to Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu. The cabinet further decided to make registration compulsory for practitioners of agriculture and horticulture.
- Polavaram DPR 2
The cabinet discussed on CWC approval for Polavaram DPR 2. The Chief Minister stated that care should be taken to get approval for revised DPR fully.
The cabinet decided to increase the salaries of contingency employees in panchayats. The cabinet decided to recruit 36 persons qualified in 1998 DSC exam as secondary grade teachers on contract basis. The cabinet decided to consider the appointment of those who were set aside as ineligible in 2008 DED, BED exam pass outs as secondary grade teachers in contract basis.
The cabinet decided to pay notional increments to special teachers, PETs, language pundit teachers appointed during 1983-96. As of now, they are getting Rs 398 as consolidated pay. The cabinet approved upgradation of 31 hospitals, and decided to upgrade remaining 22 hospitals up gradation, the document issued by the government read.
- Polyrechnic colleges
The cabinet decided to form 9 veterinary polytechnics and 9 more for fisheries polytechnics. Each college will have 50 seats. They start classes from the next academic year.
- Deeksha expenditure
The cabinet has approved for the expenditure for 'dharma porata deeksha' held in Delhi. Total expenditure is Rs 2.83 crores. The cabinet discussed that Opposition parties have made malicious propaganda that Rs 10 crores were spent.
The cabinet discussed about sadbhavana deeksha held by Narendra Modi when he was CM of Gujarat. The cabinet discussion commented that... Modi had spent public money on 17th September 2011 on the name of sadbhavana mission. That was for his selfish motives. Our deeksha is for state interests and the money spent is much lesser than what Modi spent for sadbhavana mission.
- Compensation for cyclone victims
The cabinet decided to pay the pending amounts of compensations to the victims of Titli and Pethai cyclone victims.
- Vakkaliga reservations
The cabinet decided to extend BC(B) reservations to Vakkaliga / Kumchatiga communities who reside in Chittoor district also. There are 5 lakh Vakkaliga / Kumchatiga population in AP, most of them are in Anantapuram district. Now, the communities' population in Chittoor district will also get the BC(B) reservation.
The cabinet decided to shift LIDCAP from industries dept to Social welfare department.
The Andhra Pradesh cabinet has decided to sanction certain posts which are vacant now. The cabinet has also decided to make various land allocations for government departments' needs.
