Union Minister Jayant Chaudhary praises India's Women's World Cup victory as symbol of societal change and women breaking boundaries across all professions.

Union Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Jayant Chaudhary has hailed Team India winning the ICC Women's World Cup and said it is a sign of how Indian society is changing and that young women are breaking new boundaries.

Talking with ANI, the Union Minister also congratulated South Africa for their performance in the final.

He said new talent is rising in the women's cricket scene, and the Indian team's achievement will spur many other achievements.

"It's a tremendous achievement... It's a sign of how Indian society is changing as well. In the new Bharat, young women, whichever profession or work they choose, whether they're researchers, educationalists, social reformers, political leaders, grassroots activists, entrepreneurs, thinkers, or sports persons in every field today. There are young women breaking boundaries," Jayant Chaudhary said.

"It was a very interesting match. Lots of ups and downs come... I also congratulate the South African team. For the time, England and Australia were not part of the Women's World Cup Finals. New talent is rising in the women's cricket scene," he added.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also congratulated the Indian women's cricket team for winning the Women's ODI World Cup. Calling it a historic moment, he said India's daughters have created history by bringing home the nation's first-ever World Cup title, a victory that reflects their growing confidence and strength.

Addressing a public gathering in Saharsa in Bihar, PM Modi said, "Yesterday in Mumbai, India's daughters created history. India won the Women's Cricket World Cup for the first time. After 25 years, the world has got a new world champion, and India's daughters have given this pride to the entire nation. This victory isn't just limited to the sports field. It's also a symbol of India's daughters' newfound confidence."

Union Minister of Women and Child Development Annapurna Devi, while congratulating the Indian women's cricket team on their historic victory, called it an example of women's empowerment.

In a video message, the Union Minister said, "Harmanpreet Kaur aur uski team ne desh ke har mann ki ichha ko poora kiya hai. Congratulations to Team India. This is an example of women empowerment. Be it sports, science, defence or technology, women are making the nation proud in every field...Best wishes and congratulations to the team once again. May they keep shining bright and going ahead."

India made history by winning the ICC Women's World Cup, defeating South Africa, the first-time finalists, by 52 runs.
