Trump confirms US strikes on Iran's nuclear facilities, warns Tehran to negotiate as tensions escalate following Israeli airstrikes.

"We have completed our very successful attack on the three Nuclear sites in Iran... – Donald Trump"

Washington, June 22

US President Donald Trump said that the United States has completed attacks on three nuclear sites in Iran, including "Fordow, Natanz and Esfahan."

"We have completed our very successful attack on the three Nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan. All planes are now outside of Iran air space. A full payload of BOMBS was dropped on the primary site, Fordow. All planes are safely on their way home. Congratulations to our great American Warriors. There is not another military in the World that could have done this. NOW IS THE TIME FOR PEACE! Thank you for your attention to this matter," he said on the social platform Truth Social.

He also announced that he would address the nation at 10:00 p.m. from the White House to speak about what he described as a highly successful military operation in Iran.

"This is an HISTORIC MOMENT FOR THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, ISRAEL, AND THE WORLD. IRAN MUST NOW AGREE TO END THIS WAR. THANK YOU!" he added.

Earlier on Friday, Trump told reporters that he has given Iran a maximum of two weeks to return to the negotiation table over its nuclear program, Xinhua news agency reported.

Last week, Israel began a campaign of airstrikes on Iran's nuclear facilities and senior Iranian leaders, destroying several infrastructures and killing dozens of Iranian military commanders and nuclear scientists. In response, Iran has carried out missile and drone attacks on various locations in Israel.

This is a dangerous escalation by the US. As Indians, we know the consequences of foreign military interventions in our neighborhood. Hope this doesn't create instability that affects our region too. Our government should watch carefully.

While Iran's nuclear program is concerning, unilateral attacks set a bad precedent. India has always advocated for diplomatic solutions - hope both sides can de-escalate soon. Our oil prices will shoot up again! 😓

Trump's approach is too aggressive. India has maintained good relations with both US and Iran. This puts us in a difficult position. Our foreign policy team will have their work cut out balancing this.

The timing is suspicious - just before US elections. Feels like political drama at the cost of global stability. India should focus on protecting its interests in the Gulf where millions of our citizens work.

This will have ripple effects across Asia. Hope China doesn't use this distraction to create more trouble at our borders. Our armed forces need to be extra vigilant now.

The human cost is what worries me most. Ordinary Iranians will suffer the most, just like innocent civilians always do in these conflicts. The world needs more peacemakers, not warmongers.
