In such a time of crisis, no one should...: JD(U)'s KC Tyagi refutes Rahul Gandhi's remarks on Op Sindoor

JD(U) leader KC Tyagi criticizes Rahul Gandhi for "objectionable statements" on Operation Sindoor amid India-Pakistan tensions.

"In such a time of crisis, no one should make such objectionable and unnecessary statements. - KC Tyagi"

New Delhi, May 24

Janata Dal (United) leader KC Tyagi on Saturday rebutted Lok Sabha LoP Rahul Gandhi's remarks on Operation Sindoor, saying that no one should make such "objectionable statements" at the time of crisis.

Speaking with ANI, Tyagi said, "In such a time of crisis, no one should make such objectionable and unnecessary statements."

Earlier on Friday, criticising the BJP-led NDA government, Rahul Gandhi said India's foreign policy had "collapsed."

In a post on X, Gandhi raised three questions to the central government.

"Will JJ explain why India has been hyphenated with Pakistan? Why didn't a single country back us in condemning Pakistan? Who asked Trump to 'mediate' between India & Pakistan?" the Lok Sabha LoP said.

Reposting a video of External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar's interview with a media outlet, he said, "India's foreign policy has collapsed."

Earlier, Gandhi questioned External Affairs Minister Jaishankar, accusing him of being silent about how many aircraft the Indian Air Force lost during Operation Sindoor and saying that the nation "deserves the truth."

"EAM Jaishankar's silence isn't just telling -- it's damning. So I'll ask again: How many Indian aircraft did we lose because Pakistan knew? This wasn't a lapse. It was a crime. And the nation deserves the truth," Gandhi posted on X.

Operation Sindoor was launched on May 7 in response to the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam that killed 26 civilians. The Indian Armed Forces targeted terror infrastructure deep inside Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, eliminating over 100 terrorists linked to Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba, and Hizbul Mujahideen.

Further, KC Tyagi reacted to the NITI Aayog meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which focused on the vision of a developed India by 2047.

"The Prime Minister held a meeting on the concept of a developed India of 2047. Our Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was also present," the JD(U) leader said.

Chaired by PM Modi, the 10th meeting of the NITI Aayog Governing Council will bring together Chief Ministers and Lieutenant Governors of States and Union Territories, Union Ministers, and the Vice Chairman, Members and the CEO of NITI Aayog to deliberate on the roadmap for achieving 'Viksit Rajya, Viksit Bharat @2047' - a developed India by 2047.

Why is Rahul Gandhi questioning our armed forces' bravery during Operation Sindoor? Our soldiers made huge sacrifices to protect us. This is not the time for political mudslinging. Jai Hind! 🇮🇳

While I don't always agree with BJP, KC Tyagi is right. Foreign policy discussions should be constructive, not divisive. We need unity when dealing with Pakistan's terrorism. Operation Sindoor was necessary after Pahalgam attack.

Some valid questions by Rahul Gandhi but timing is wrong. Jaishankar should give proper answers though - transparency is important in democracy. But first priority should be supporting our forces who are protecting borders daily.

Enough of this blame game! We common people just want peace at borders and development in our villages. All parties should focus on Viksit Bharat vision instead of fighting like this. Bihar CM attending NITI Aayog meeting is good step.

Operation Sindoor details should remain confidential for national security. Why is RG demanding military secrets to be made public? Doesn't he understand this helps Pakistan? 🤦‍♂️ Our forces know what's best for the country.

As a military family, I'm proud of our forces' actions in PoJK. But politicians should debate policies respectfully. Both sides need to tone down rhetoric and work for national interest. Enough of this 'tu-tu main-main'!
