J-K: Bhaderwah, adjoining areas in Jammu division receive fresh snowfall today

Doda, January 16: Jammu division's Bhaderwah valley in Doda district received a fresh spell of snowfall on Thursday, as did the adjacent region of Bhalessa which was blanketed in pristine white. Poonch, too, was freshly covered in snow; while further north in Kashmir valley, there has been snowfall in Anantnag and the adjoining areas of south Kashmir.

Srinagar: Thin layer of ice forms on Dal Lake as cold wave continues to engulf Kashmir

Srinagar, January 13: Amid the ongoing cold wave in the Kashmir valley, the iconic Dal Lake in Srinagar developed a thin layer of ice on its surface on Monday. Earlier, on Sunday, Srinagar had recorded a steep decline of 3.1 degrees Celcius in its seasonal minimum temperature, with the mercury settling at -5.1 degrees Celsius during the coldest hour of the day.
