Kapil Dev Grant Thornton Invitational: Cheema surges ahead with flawless 64 on Day Two

Bengaluru, April 25: Angad Cheema of Chandigarh fired a flawless eight-under 64 to surge into a one-shot lead at a total of 14-under 130 in Round Two of the INR 2 crore Kapil Dev Grant Thornton Invitational 2025 golf tournament being played at the Prestige Golfshire Club in Bengaluru. Angad (66-64), who was three shots off the lead in tied fourth place after the first round, gained three spots as a result of his outstanding second-round effort in the 54-hole event.

Golf: Indian Open 2025 to host one of the strongest fields ever

New Delhi, March 15: The 2025 edition of the India Open, the country's most prestigious golf event, will witness participation from as many as 16 winners from the last and current season of the European Tour. Defending champion Keita Nakajima of Japan leads an extremely strong field as this year's edition of India's national open, co-sanctioned by the Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI) and DP World Tour schedule (DPWT), is set to get underway from March 27.

PGTI Qualifying School 2025 tees-off from January 22 in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, Jan 21: The Professional Golf Tour India (PGTI) Qualifying School 2025 will be played from January 22 to February 7, 2025, at the Golmuri Golf Course here on Tuesday. While the First Stage consisting of three Pre-Qualifying events of 36 holes each will be held from January 22 to February 1, the Final Stage, a 72-hole event, will be held from February 4 to 7.

New Delhi, Jan 16: Indian golfing great Jeev Milkha Singh has lauded the efforts of current Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI) president and cricket legend Kapil Dev for "doing well" for the professional golfers in the country. The PGTI president recently unveiled the jam-packed first half of the 2025 calendar year with professionals participating for 11 consecutive weeks in competitions, all at different venues compared to the nine competitions that took place in the first half of 2024.

New Delhi, Jan 13: The Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI) on Monday announced a lucrative and action-packed first half of the 2025 season, which will tee off in February and will offer a whopping Rs 15.66 crore as total prize money. Once underway, the season will feature 11 consecutive weeks of non-stop golfing action, across as many venues, between February and April with a whopping INR 15.66 crore on offer as total prize money (excluding the Indian Open).
