Build 'Viksit Gaon' to achieve Viksit Bharat goal by 2047: Minister

New Delhi, July 14: Union Minister of State for Rural Development and Communications, Dr Pemmasani Chandra Sekhar, on Monday called for a renewed push to transform villages into ‘Viksit Gaon’ (developed villages), as a necessary step towards achieving the goal of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (developed India) by 2047.

3.69 crore houses for rural poor sanctioned under PMAY scheme: Minister

Panaji, June 6: Union Minister of State for Rural Development and Communications Pemmasani Chandrasekhar on Friday said a total of 3.69 crore houses have been sanctioned and 2.76 crore homes have been completed so far under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana–Gramin "giving a concrete form to the dreams of the rural poor".

Expansion of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin

New Delhi, March 21: Under Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G), Rs. 1.20 lakh in plain areas and Rs. 1.30 lakh in North Eastern States and Hilly States (including UTs of Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh) are provided as unit assistance, the Ministry of Rural Development said in a release on Friday.

2.69 crore houses built for rural poor under PMAY-G scheme: Minister

New Delhi, March 12: As many as 2.69 crore houses have been completed till the end of the FY 2023-24 under Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana- Gramin (PMAY-G) which set a target of constructing 2.95 crore pucca houses with basic amenities by March 31, 2024, for which the Centre gave Rs 2.26 lakh crore to states, according to information tabled in the Lok Sabha.
