Dubai named host city for 2025 Asian Youth Para Games

Dubai, April 11: The Asian Paralympic Committee (APC) on Friday announced that the fifth Asian Youth Para Games will take place in Dubai, UAE from December 7–14, 2025. Dubai has been handed the hosting rights on the rebound as the original host Tashkent had pulled out a few months back.

KIPG 2025: Haryana retain team championship, T.N. runners-up, U.P. third

New Delhi, March 27: After eight days of intense sporting action, the second edition of the Khelo India Para Games (KIPG) 2025 came to a close on Thursday with Haryana once again finishing on top of the team standings with 34 gold medals. Tamil Nadu (28 gold) and Uttar Pradesh (23 gold) finished second and third, respectively in the overall standings.

New Delhi, March 19: Two of India's most celebrated Paralympians - Sumit Antil and Devendra Jhajharia - welcomed 1300-plus athletes to the Khelo India Para Games, the second edition of which begins at the Capital on Thursday. The Games will be played across three venues - Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, IG Stadium and the Dr Karni Singh Shooting Range - till March 27, according to SAI Media. KIPG 2025 will be held in six disciplines -- para athletics, para archery, para powerlifting, para badminton, para table tennis and para shooting. In the presence of over 1300 athletes, 350 support staff and 150 volunteers, the opening ceremony will officially will be held at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium on Thursday evening.

EFI to host India's first Para-Dressage World Challenge in 2025

New Delhi, Jan 6: The Equestrian Federation of India (EFI) will host the Para-Dressage World Challenge 2025 in October for the first time at the Modi Equestrian Academy in Meerut (North Zone) and Surge Stables in Bengaluru (South Zone) in October. With a vision to create India’s first-ever representation at the Los Angeles 2028 Paralympics, the EFI also organised the first-ever FEI-backed Para-Dressage Workshop at the Modi Equestrian Academy in Meerut from January 4-5.
