Guwahati, May 4: The Jeep Safari at Assam's Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve will remain closed from May 19 until further notice due to inclement weather and poor road conditions, according to a notification issued by the Divisional Forest Officer of the Eastern Assam Wildlife Division.
Assam's Kaziranga witnesses an all time high of over 4.06 lakh tourists in 2024-25
Guwahati, April 2: Assam's Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve (KNPTR), a UNESCO World Heritage site, witnessed an all-time high record number of 4,06,564 tourists, including 17,693 foreign visitors, in 2024-25, officials said on Wednesday.
Assam: Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary witnesses 15% increase in revenue collection this season
Marigaon, February 12,: In the ongoing tourist season, Assam has witnessed a major rise in the tourist footfall in Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary, when compared to other years. As per the officials, in the present season, around 23,000 tourists have visited the wildlife sanctuary which is situated in the Morigaon district. These tourists include both Indian visitors as well as foreigners.
