Mumbai water tanker operators call off strike after BMC invokes Disaster Management Act
Mumbai, April 14: A day after the BrihanMumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) invoked the Disaster Management Act, 2005, the Mumbai Water Tanker Association (MWTA) on Monday called off their four-day strike after a meeting with the city's civic body chief Bhushan Gagrani.

Mumbai, April 14: Considering the ongoing strike by tanker drivers in Mumbai and in the interest of the general public, the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) administration invoked the Disaster Management Act, 2005, and decided to requisition wells, borewells, and private water supply tankers across the city.
