Amrirsar, February 14: Punjab's Special DGP Arpit Shukla spoke to media persons in Chandigarh and addressed many issues such as increasing border security and attacks on police stations in the state. Shukla stated that the state government has allocated a fund of INR 30 crore to install cameras at strategic points to thwart infiltration and trace the movement of smugglers.

Cattle smugglers dressed in BSF uniforms nabbed along Indo-B'desh border

Kolkata, Feb 12: The Border Security Force (BSF) said on Wednesday that a major cattle smuggling racket in the Malda district of West Bengal has been busted in which miscreants posed as BSF personnel to cross the Indo-Bangladesh Border (IBB). Three Indian cattle smugglers, clad in BSF fatigued, were arrested with two buffaloes.

New Delhi, February 4: In response to queries raised by Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Sajda Ahmed over the fencing of the India-Bangladesh border, Union Minister of State (MoS) for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai said that nearly 864.482 kilometres of the border was yet to be fenced and it includes a length of 174.514 km of non-feasible gap.
