Myanmar Military, armed group signs ceasfire agreement, says China
Beijing, January 20: The Myanmar military and the Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA) signed a formal ceasefire agreement, which came into effect on Saturday, halting the constant fighting, Chinese Foreign Ministry said on Monday as reported by Xinhua.
Myanmar: Agriculture project benefits over 5,000 farmers
Yangon, Jan 19: Myanmar's Agriculture and Rural Development Loan Project has disbursed over 247 billion kyats (about 117.61 million U.S. dollars) in financial assistance as of 2024, benefiting 5,816 farmers, the state-run Myanmar Radio and Television reported on Sunday.
