Stealing MLAs bigger crime than vote theft: KTR accuses Congress of poaching its 10 MLAs in Telangana

BRS leader KT Rama Rao demands Rahul Gandhi be booked for abetting MLA defections, calling it a bigger crime than vote theft in Telangana political war.

"Stealing MLAs is a bigger crime than vote theft, and it is being committed by the Congress in Telangana. - KT Rama Rao"

Hyderabad, September 19

Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President KT Rama Rao on Friday launched a scathing attack on Congress MP Rahul Gandhi over his fresh allegations of vote theft, accusing him instead of "poaching" 10 MLAs of BRS in Telangana.

Alleging that the Congress party under Rahul Gandhi's leadership had poached 10 BRS MLAs, Rao demanded that the Congress MP should be booked for abetting this crime.

Speaking to ANI, KT Rama Rao said, "Stealing MLAs is a bigger crime than vote theft, and it is being committed by the Congress in Telangana. Rahul Gandhi has stolen 10 MLAs who won from the BRS... He should be ashamed. He keeps the Constitution with him, speaks grandly, and comments frequently on vote theft. We want to ask Rahul Gandhi what has happened to your justice system. You yourself stated in your 'Nyay Patra' that any MLA defection will result in automatic disqualification. Why are you silent on this issue today?.. You should explain whether all this happened under your direction or not. For abetting this crime, even Rahul Gandhi should be booked."

This comes after Rahul Gandhi held a press conference in Delhi on September 18 and accused Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar of "protecting vote chors". He further alleged that the CEC is fully aware of how fraud is happening in deleting and adding fake voters in the voter list. He stated that he has "10 per cent proof" that the Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar is "protecting vote chors (vote thieves)."

Although the Congress leader clarified that the so-called 'Hydrogen Bomb' was still expected, he claimed that a "certain group of people" are systematically cutting the votes of minority groups who specifically vote for the Congress.

Gandhi also claimed that there was an attempt to delete more than 6,000 voters' names from the Aland constituency in Karnataka.

"In Aland, Karnataka, 6018 votes, somebody tried to delete these votes. We don't know the total number of votes deleted in the 2023 elections, but somebody got caught. It was caught, by most crimes, by coincidence. What happened was that the Booth Level officer noticed that her uncle's vote had been deleted," the Congress MP said.

Earlier on September 15, KT Rama Rao (KTR) slammed Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of being a "hypocrite".

Speaking to ANI, KTR accused the Congress of "stealing" 10 MLAs from the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) party. He demanded that the Speaker take action and disqualify them immediately.

Both parties are playing dirty games. BRS did the same when they were in power. Now Congress is returning the favor. This political drama never ends in our country. 😒

Defection politics is destroying our democracy. The anti-defection law should be implemented strictly. Speaker should take immediate action against these MLAs instead of protecting them.

As an observer of Indian politics, it's fascinating how both sides accuse each other of the same things. KTR makes valid points about Congress's hypocrisy regarding their own Nyay Patra promises.

The real victims are the voters who elected these MLAs. They voted for BRS, not Congress. This betrayal of public mandate should be punished severely. Election Commission must intervene!

While KTR has a point about defections, he shouldn't ignore the serious allegations about voter list manipulation. Both issues need to be addressed for free and fair elections.
