Special day for Jashpur: Chhattisgarh CM Vishnu Deo Sai inaugurates 3 branches of Rajya Gramin Bank

Chhattisgarh CM Vishnu Deo Sai calls it a historic day as 3 rural bank branches open in Jashpur, benefiting 45 villages and 44,000 people.

"Today is a special day for Jashpur. The inauguration of three Rural Banks took place at three locations. - CM Vishnu Deo Sai"

Jashpur, August 10

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai attended the inauguration ceremony of three branches of Chhattisgarh Rajya Gramin Bank on Sunday. CM Sai called it a special day for Jashpur.

Speaking to reporters, CM Vishnu Deo Sai said, "Today, development is happening in all areas of Chhattisgarh. Today is a special day for Jashpur. The inauguration of three Rural Banks took place at three locations in Jashpur. The Chhattisgarh Rural Banks chairman said that for the first time in history, three rural banks have been inaugurated at the same time. This is a matter of great fortune for Jashpur. Forty-five villages will benefit from this, which includes a population of 44,000."

Earlier, on August 4, CM Vishnu Deo Sai expressed satisfaction over the consistent improvement and reach of healthcare in Bastar. He credited this change to the active involvement of Mitanins, health workers, and departmental staff, whose collective commitment has made the impossible possible.

"Bastar has always been a focus area for our government, and we are committed to strengthening it further," he said.

Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal reiterated the state's objective of ensuring uniform quality healthcare across Chhattisgarh. He highlighted the ongoing Malaria-Free Campaign in Bastar, which involves door-to-door testing, immediate treatment, and awareness initiatives. Under NQAS, health institutions across the state--and especially in Bastar--have achieved model-level performance, he noted.

The state government has made it a clear priority to extend healthcare access to Naxal-affected districts like Kanker, Bijapur, Sukma, and Dantewada. Citizens in these regions are now benefiting from quality health services, something once considered a distant dream. This transformation stands as testimony to CM Sai's vision, strategic focus, and mission-mode execution in the healthcare sector.

As someone from Jashpur, I can tell you this is a game-changer! Earlier we had to travel 30km just to deposit money. Thank you CM Sai for focusing on tribal areas. #DevelopmentForAll

Good initiative but I hope they maintain these banks properly. Many rural branches in other states become non-functional due to staff shortages. The real test will be after 6 months.

The healthcare improvements in Bastar are impressive! My NGO works there and I've seen the difference Mitanins have made. Hope they replicate this model nationwide. Tribal communities deserve quality healthcare.

Three banks at once is great, but what about roads and electricity in these villages? Development should be holistic. Banking services alone won't solve all problems.

My cousin is a Mitanin in Dantewada. The work these women health volunteers do is incredible! They walk miles daily to reach remote villages. Salute to their dedication 👏
