Rijiju urges Opposition to drop cheap politics after PM Modi's speech on Operation Sindoor

Rijiju urges Opposition to unite after PM Modi's Lok Sabha address on Operation Sindoor, calling out Congress for "cheap politics."

"PM explained every aspect categorically... Opposition should leave behind cheap politics – Kiren Rijiju"

New Delhi, July 30

Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Kiren Rijiju on Tuesday urged the Opposition to abandon what he termed as "cheap politics" following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's speech in the Lok Sabha on Operation Sindoor, stating that the Prime Minister had categorically outlined the government's stand.

While speaking to ANI, Kiren Rijiju said, "... Prime Minister explained every aspect categorically and expressed the stand of the government very clearly... After the Prime Minister's speech today, I think that even the opposition will leave behind their cheap politics and support him and the nation..."

Taking a swipe at the Congress, the Minister said, "Even if after the Prime Minister's speech, they have any questions, I cannot say anything. I can only pity them... The narrative set by Congress, and what is going on in Pakistan, is very similar..."

Meanwhile, several BJP MPs, including Mayank Nayak, Maya Naroliya and Mahima Kumari Mewar, lauded the Prime Minister's address, asserting that it had effectively countered all allegations raised by the Opposition regarding Operation Sindoor.

BJP MP Mayank Nayak said, "All baseless allegations levelled by the Opposition regarding Operation Sindoor were given a categorical reply by the PM today. The world style of previous Govts and PM Modi's 'goli ke saamne gola' style - speaking the language which the enemy nation understands, they have given a reply. Operation Sindoor has been fought unitedly by the citizens and jawans of the country."

He added, "PM has explained everything in the Lok Sabha today. He also said that there was no pressure on him to stop the war, that he did not get any phone call...People saw through the disinformation being spread by the Opposition. PM clarified everything in Lok Sabha..."

BJP MP Maya Naroliya said the farsightedness of PM Modi and the response given to Pakistan is now known to the entire country.

"The entire country is standing with the Indian armed forces. PM Modi told the story of Operation Sindoor to the House, the Opposition and even the entire country. Operation Sindoor avenged the killing of people in Pahalgam. The credit for the success of Operation Sindoor goes to our Armed Forces and brave jawans. The farsightedness of PM Modi and the befitting reply to Pakistan - the entire nation knows about it... I urge the Opposition MPs to stand united with the country..." she said.

She further added, "Congress has no solid issues...They have just one issue, scream and try to prove your words true..."

BJP MP Mahima Kumari Mewar also praised the Prime Minister's speech, stating, "...PM Modi, EAM, Home Minister and Defence Minister replied to all the questions very well and explained everything in detail...I think the whole of India, be it the ruling side or the Opposition, should stand together and think about the security of the people of India. I think our armed forces acted strongly and gave a befitting reply. All the questions that were answered were replied to..."

Earlier on Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during the discussion on Operation Sindoor in the Lok Sabha, said that the Indian Armed Forces avenged the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack in 22 minutes through Operation Sindoor by destroying terror launch pads in "different corners of Pakistan."

Speaking in the Lok Sabha during a discussion on Operation Sindoor, the Prime Minister described the ongoing Parliament session as a "Vijay Utsav" (victory celebration) celebrating India's military strength and national unity after the success of the armed forces.

He further said that the Indian Armed Forces were given a free hand to take their own decisions when the conflict with Pakistan escalated in the aftermath of Operation Sindoor on May 7.

While I support our armed forces, I wish the government would share more operational details transparently. National security shouldn't become a political football for any party. We deserve facts, not just rhetoric.

"Goli ke saamne gola" style is exactly what we need! For too long Pakistan thought they could get away with terrorism. Operation Sindoor changed that equation. Jai Hind! 🚩

As an Army wife, I'm proud of our forces but worried about constant politicization. Can't we have one discussion where all parties stand together without point-scoring? Our jawans deserve better than this bickering.

22 minutes to avenge Pahalgam attack - that's the New India we voted for! But Rijiju ji, calling it "cheap politics" when opposition asks questions isn't right. Democracy needs healthy debate, not just chest-thumping.

The way our forces conducted Operation Sindoor makes every Indian proud! But can we please stop comparing everything to Pakistan? We should focus on building our nation, not just reacting to theirs.
