The Puri district administration has deployed AI-based CCTV cameras to monitor the festivities and ensure security, surveillance, including traffic management during the Ratha Yatra 2025,

While technology is welcome, I hope they don't compromise the spiritual essence of the yatra. The beauty of Rath Yatra lies in its ancient traditions. The authorities should ensure these cameras don't intrude on devotees' privacy.

Good to see NDRF deployed as well. With lakhs of people gathering, disaster preparedness is crucial. Hope they've made proper arrangements for medical emergencies too. The heat can be unbearable in Puri during this time.

They should install these AI cameras permanently, not just for yatra. Puri needs better traffic management year-round. Also, more focus needed on cleanliness - saw too much plastic waste near the temple area yesterday 😔
