People will decide, not a monarchy: Samrat Chaudhary responds to Tejashwi Yadav's CM claim

Bihar Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary dismisses Tejashwi Yadav's November 18 oath claim, says people will decide next chief minister, not monarchy.

"It is not a monarchy. The people of Bihar will decide this. - Samrat Chaudhary"

Patna, November 3

Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary on Monday took a swipe at RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav's statement that he will take oath as the next chief minister of Bihar on November 18.

" It is not a monarchy. The people of Bihar will decide this. Lalu Prasad Yadav tortured the Congress and forced them to declare Tejashwi as the Chief Ministerial candidate, but the people of Bihar will decide who will be the Chief Minister, and I am confident that the people of Bihar will support the NDA," Chaudhary told ANI when he was asked about Tejashwi Yadav's remarks.

Earlier in the day, Union Minister and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan also took a swipe at the RJD leader, saying that there is no harm in seeing "Mungeri Lal ke haseen sapne."

Speaking to ANI, Paswan, while responding to Yadav's statement that Mahagathbandhan would take oath on November 18, said, "There is no harm in seeing 'Mungeri Lal ke haseen sapne.' On November 14, NDA is going to form the government once again under the leadership of CM Nitish Kumar."

Tejashwi Yadav had exuded confidence that Mahagathbandhan will form the next government in Bihar, and the swearing-in will take place on November 18, just four days after the declaration of results.

"You can see there is 'maha jungle raaj' in Bihar. There isn't a single day when firing doesn't happen in Bihar. The Mahagathbandhan is going to form the government. On November 14, the results will be declared, and the oath ceremony will be on November 18 and between 26th November and 26th January, irrespective of caste or religion, if someone is a criminal or a fraud, Tejashwi will send them to jail," Yadav had told reporters on Sunday.

The sharp political exchanges between the NDA and the Opposition bloc have intensified in the run-up to the Bihar Assembly elections.

Polling for the 243-seat Bihar Assembly is scheduled to take place in two phases on November 6 and November 11, with the counting set for November 14.

Chirag Paswan's "Mungeri Lal ke haseen sapne" comment made me laugh! 😂 So true - these are just daydreams. People remember the jungle raj era and won't repeat that mistake.

While I support NDA, I wish our politicians would focus more on actual development issues rather than personal attacks. Both sides should present their vision for Bihar's future.

As someone who has lived in Bihar for 5 years, I've seen real progress under current government. Roads, electricity, education - all improving. Hope development continues!

Tejashwi's claim about sending criminals to jail sounds good, but why didn't they do it when they were in power? Empty promises won't work anymore. Bihar needs stability.

The people of Bihar are wise enough to choose their leaders. We've suffered enough during the jungle raj days. Development over dynasty any day! 🙏
